Body recovered
On February 27, one unidentified female body with slit throat was found at Khlieh Myntriang (EJH). Cadaver was removed to CHC Khliehriat for post mortem examination.
On March 4 around 3 pm, the body of one Hemu Bharali (55) was found lying in the cowshed of Mantu Das at Them Marwet (RB) under Khanapara PS. Cadaver was shifted to Civil Hospital Nongpoh for post mortem examination. Matter is under enquiry.
NGT order violation
On March 4 Police detected one coal-laden truck (AS-01-DD-0113) driven by Telestar Kharbani from Siejlieh, Nongstoin (WKH) transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.
On March 4, Police detected two coal-laden trucks (AS-18C-3248 & AS-18C-0854) driven by Sahjamal Ali and Monirul Islam respectively in violation of the NGT order at NH-44E, Williamnagar (EGH). Police arrested the drivers and seized the trucks.
Murder
Mudi Swer, Secretary of Ringkyrtein village (WJH) lodged a complaint that on March 2 around 8 pm one Ste Shylla shot dead Clement Dkhar in the village.
Abduction
A woman lodged a complaint that on February 23 evening, one Ganesh Kumar abducted her daughter (17) from her residence at AG Quarters, Motinagar, Shillong.
Thief nabbed
On March 6 around 4.30 am, residents of Laitumkhrah, Shillong apprehended and handed over to Police, one Rohan Sangma while he was attempting to commit burglary in the house of Ngakhu Vaiphei at Bomfyle Road, Lower New Colony, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Accident
On March 5 around 3.45 pm, an accident took place between one motorcycle (ML-05H-5483) ridden by Laldinpuia Verte (18), one bus (ML-05C-4957) driven by Munna Masi and one local taxi (ML-05M-4537) driver by Flymoonstar Pathaw at Madanrting, Shillong. As a result, the bike rider and driver of taxi sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On March 5 around 7 pm, one Maruti car (ML-04B-0112) driven by Anderson Langstieh (38) knocked down Mitra Sunar (42) at Rilbong Point, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
On March 5 around 11 am, one scooter (ML-05-8932) knocked down Padma Goyal (59) at Camel Back Road, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong and later referred to a hospital at Guwahati.
Mobile snatched
Hoideikim Sitihou lodged a complaint that on March 5 around 12.30 am, one unidentified miscreant armed with iron rod, snatched one mobile phone from her valued around Rs.13,700 at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Assault
On March 4 evening, Dalin Kharjana assaulted Aibanrilin Sylliang (37) at 3rd Mile Petrol Pump, Upper Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On March 4 around 8.30 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted Jam Sawkmie at Lumparing, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Vehicle theft
On March 2 around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-1404) belonging to Cheshang N. Sangma from Babupara, Mendipathar (NGH).
