Guwahati: Acting on specific information from intelligence wing of Border Security Force, troops of Border outpost Gachpara, rescued a minor boy from the clutches of suspected human traffickers y from a village near the International Boundary in Dhubri on Saturday.
A BSF communiqué here informed that on Saturday the intelligence wing of BSF, based in Dhubri, received an information from local sources about the presence of a kidnapped minor in the house of one Kismat Ali, s/o Late Soukatulla, at Takamari under police station and district Dhubri(Assam), which was located in the close proximity of the International Boundary.
It was also learnt that a minor boy namely Master Rinu (3.5 years), s/o Jainal of Fulbari , was kidnapped from his village by one alleged human trafficker namely Moinuddin, s/o Late Jamsher Ali of Takamari uder Dhubri police station and temporarily kept him in the house of Kismat Ali in Takamari village with intention of taking him across the International border to Bangladesh on opportune moment, in lieu of a huge amount of money.The matter was immediately brought to the notice of BSF field formations and troops of BOP Gachpara and BOP Takkamari along with personnel of BSF intelligence wing launched rescue operation to save the victim and also to apprehend the kidnapper. With the timely and swift action by BSF troops, master Runi. However Kismat Ali could not be apprehended as he escaped on seeing the BSF troops.BSF troops also raided the house of Moinuddin but he too escaped on seeing the troops. It was also learnt from the locals that Moinuddin is involved in several criminal activities in the area. The nationality of the victim is being ascertained. On being asked where about of the parents, Rinu could only tell that his parents were working in some brick kiln. Location of the brick kiln not known to the child who was handed over to the local police for further action.
