Suspended Delhi Police constable alleges rape at gunpoint
Gurgaon: A suspended woman constable of Delhi Police has alleged that she was raped by a man at gunpoint here, police said on Sunday.A case was registered at DLF-2 police station on the complaint of the 38-year-old woman.In her complaint, the woman, a resident of Rajiv Colony here, said she was raped twice by man named Salim at gunpoint at a guest house in DLF-2 area.The woman said: “I was raped first in 2012 and now recently at gunpoint.”Salim’s four friends – Shamim, Akbar, Alisher and Karim – helped him in the crime, she told police. Salim hails from Delhi.The accused are in the age group of 35-40 years and deal in property and transport business.”The woman was suspended by Delhi Police. She is also facing graft charges in Delhi. Cops suspended after their video beating minor boys goes viral
Katni (MP): A video of two police constables mercilessly beating two minor boys here went viral on social media platforms, following which they have been suspended on Sunday. Katni Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajput said constables Uday Raj Singh and Mahendra Dube have been suspended after authorities took cognisance of the video, following which an initial probe was conducted and the duo was found to be involve in it. Constable Singh and Constable Dube, posted at Kotwali police station in the district, had detained two minor boys and one another person in connection with a theft in March and later allegedly beat them black and blue with a stick. Inside the police station someone recorded the whole incident through a mobile phone camera which later surfaced a few days ago and went viral on social media websites and mobile messaging app ‘WhatsApp’. Also, a probe has been ordered against sub-inspector Lekh Singh Parihar, who was also involved in the incident, Rajput said. (PTI)
