New Delhi: Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha on Saturday asserted that the armed forces have the capability to strike at terror camps in PoK and along the Line of Control, but the intent and decision will have to be taken by the political leadership.
Raha, who is also the Chairman, Chief of Staff Committee (COSC), admitted that China is developing its capabilities “tremendously” in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Asked if the armed forces were capable of carrying out a Myanmar-like operation in PoK and across the LoC, Raha said, “Capability is there. Intent is not mine. Intent has to be of authorities at higher places.”
“So capability is there but whether you have to do it or not, the decision should be political,” he said. (PTI)
