TURA: The United A’chik Liberation Army (UALA) has denied that those carrying out extortions in Nongal, Jadi, Damas, Resu, Kharkutta and Bajengdoba regions belong to the outfit.
In a statement issued to the media on Thursday the chairman of the outfit, Chiindik Marak appealed to people not to give in to the demands of such elements and to report the matter immediately to the police.
Meanwhile, Marak also directed UALA member and 2nd Lieutenant, Nisan, who had been missing from the camp since November 21, to report to the outfit high command within five days and warned that his membership with the outfit would be cancelled if it was not complied with.
