2 held for forced entry into NEHU girls’ hostel

SHILLONG: Two people have been arrested in NEHU in the last two days for entering the girls’ hostel and resorting to indecent acts inside the varsity campus.
In the first incident on November 29 around 5.30 pm, security personnel in the NEHU Campus nabbed one Khrawborlang Nongsiej (20) for allegedly resorting to indecent acts in front of female students inside the campus.
The next day around 1 AM security personnel in the NEHU Campus against apprehended one Jason Lyngdoh (20) while he was attempting to enter the girls’ hostel inside the campus.
When contacted, NEHU Security Inspector D. Nongrang said lot of measures have been taken for better security in the campus and added that security personnel conduct regular checking at the gates.
