TURA: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has condemned Tuesday’s attack on its Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) office in Guwahati allegedly by BJP workers.
According to a release issued here, the party office was attacked by around 400 BJP workers in which several workers and office bearers of the party were injured.
“Earlier this year, the BJP tried to polarize people just before Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) elections in Bihar so as to garner public support. This attack on party office in Assam is also part of a thoughtfully planned strategy to polarize people keeping in view the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha Elections 2016 in Assam,” the release stated.
