Talks on Netaji files to start from city

SHILLONG: The president of Greater Shillong Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose birthday celebration committee Naba Bhattacharjee on Thursday said that the truth about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose lies in Russia.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Naba Bhattacharjee said that the missing links about Netaji will be revealed only when the secret Netaji Files will be declassified.
It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Narenda Modi had announced the process of declassifying files relating to Netaji will begin on January 23 on the occasion of birth anniversary of Netaji.
The proposed National talks will start this year from Shillong and it will be held in other cities of the North East every year.
Meanwhile, the committee has also planned a host of activities for the birth anniversary of Netaji at State Central Library.
He said that a talk and discussion will also be held on the relevance of Netaji’s principle and philosophy, as a patriot, governance strategist and capability to unify all on January 23.
The keynote speakers will be MLA, Paul Lyngdoh and IGNOU Director, Prof A.S Guha.
