Awareness programme on adolescents’ issues held

SHILLONG: An Awareness Programme on “Adolescents’ Issues” was organized by SOS Children’s Village, Shillong, a leading child development organization of Meghalaya in collaboration with the office of the Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Meghalaya for 80 children. Both boys and girls among 25 children from Bhoirymbong village between the age group of 12-18 years old were present in the programme. The children participated with enthusiasm. They performed activities like games with regards to effective communication.
The resource persons were Phida Dkhar (Adolescent Counsellor, Civil Hospital, Shillong), Kynthup Syon Nongkling (Adolescent Counsellor, Civil Hospital, Nongpoh) and Paleimon Mylliem Ummolong (Adolescent Counsellor, Civil Hospital, Mairang). The children asked questions related to the topic and few documentaries were also shown.
