Meghan Trainor gets emotional at Grammy Awards
Singer Meghan Trainor, who won the golden gram  ophone for the Best New Artist category at the     58th annual Grammy Awards here, broke down in tears while accepting the trophy. “I have to thank L.A. Reid for looking at me as an artist and not just a song writer,” Trainor, who was nominated alongside Courtney Barnett, James Bay, Sam Hunt and Tori Kelly, in the respective category, said in her acceptance speech. She was presented the trophy by last year’s winner Sam Smith. While accepting the award, Trainor also thanked her parents for encouraging her to become a singer, before she left the stage crying. Trainor was also a part of one of the most epic performances of the night — a tribute to singer Lionel Richie. She rocked the stage alongside singers Demi Lovato, John Legend, and Tyrese. Hosted by hip-hop artist LL Cool J, the awards gala took place here at the Staples Center on Monday. (IANS)

Actor Daniel Craig, who has portrayed the legen  dary James Bond role for nearly a decade, may     leave the character for a character in American television Series “Purity”. Craig won’t have time to reprise his role as the secret agent as “Purity”, which will be the adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s novel, is expected to run for several series, reports dailymail.co.uk. Earlier, the actor had dropped hints of bidding goodbye to James Bond prior to the release of the franchise’s 24th instalment “Spectre” last year. “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on,” Craig was quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying. (IANS)
