Murder condemned

SHILLONG: The Jaintia National Union (JNU), Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF) and the All Hynniewtrep People United Front (AHPUF) have condemned the murder of one Plan Biam at Saphai, West Jaintia Hills over allegations that he was a worshipper of the “blood sucking serpent” or “U Thlen”.
In a statement, the three organizations said that they will send memorandum to the National Human Right Commission (NHRC) on the matter. Biam (20) was brutally murdered by a mob numbering over 100 on Saturday evening.
