Discover Jaintia festival concludes

JOWAI: The three-day annual Discover Jaintia Tourism Festival concluded on Saturday with the Ialong Park Festival at Ialong village in West Jaintia Hills.
The final day also witnessed a traditional and cultural display, apart from water sports, paragliding etc.
Hundreds of people from across Jaintia Hills witnessed the programme organised jointly by the Jaintia Tourism and Environment Society (JTES) and the West Jaintia Hills District Administration in collaboration with the Ialong Tourism Promotion Society.
The Ialong Park was lighted with over thousand traditional torches (Dongmusa).Immediately after the torches were lighted, hundreds of balloons were also released to the night sky.
