Meager MLA scheme for Mawlai constituency

SHILLONG: The BDO of Mylliem Block PT Passah has expressed concern over the meager amount of MLA scheme sanctioned for Mawlai constituency as it is less compared to other constituencies considering that Mawlai is a huge constituency constituting a conglomeration of villages.
Speaking as the guest of honour in the inauguration of the auditorium hall of OM Memorial Higher Secondary on Wednesday, Passah said, “the implementation of MLA scheme demands hardwork and dedication and to complete projects meant for development.”
Meanwhile, Embhah Syiemlieh, Mawlai MLA said that the auditorium was constructed at the cost of Rs 5 lakh from MLA scheme and
) implemented by the Mylliem Block Development Office where he agreed that schemes directed towards Mawlai is less. “I wish to see an all round development in all the areas in the constituency of Mawlai,” he added.
