CPC provides cash relief to cyclone-hit

SHILLONG: The Central Puja Committee distributed cash relief to as many as 32 BPL families affected by the recent cyclone that hit parts of the city at the premises of Gorkha Durga Mandir, Nongmynsong on Sunday.
The affected families come from Nongmynsong, Pynthorbah and adjoining areas.
Beneficiaries of the cash relief included families from all communities and faiths.
In addition, part of the medical expenses of an injured patient recovering in a local hospital was also taken care of by the CPC.
