Basanti puja
The three-day Basanti Puja will be performed at Rilbong under the auspices of Rilbong Sanatan Hindu Dharma Sabha from April 13 to 15. Immersion will take place on April 16.
Dishari Socio & Cultural Organisation is celebrating Basanti Puja from April 12 to 16.
Bengali New Year
The Bengali New Year will be celebrated at Rilbong on April 14 at 6. 30 pm. Songs, dances and community get together will be a part of the celebration. On the occasion a show called ‘Borsho boron’ is being jointly organized by Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club and Nikhil Bharat Bongiyo Sahitya Sammelan.
‘Urs’ ceremony
On behalf of Mohammadia-Al-Hussainee Mosque Committee, Naspathighari, Barapathar point, the annual Urs Mubarak ceremony of Hazrat Khuwaja Garib Nawaz (RA) will be held in the premises of Mohammadia-Al-Hussainee Masjid at 4:30 pm on April 14.
Demonstration
The All India Postal Employees Union, Group- C, postmen and MTS and AIPEU GDS decided to continue their lunch hour demonstration programme from April 12 in front of the Shillong GPO in protest against continuous link failure problems arising in the CBS offices where the of public and the staff are the worst sufferers. The programme will culminate with a one-day pen down/ tool down Strike on April 27.
