No talks sans Champion, says GNLA

TURA: The GNLA has issued a confirmation stating that it would not come for talks without its jailed chairman Champion Sangma after the same was communicated to reporters by Sangma himself on April 13.
In a statement issued here from the desk of GNLA publicity secretary Gantong Ch Marak, the outfit stated that Champion Sangma was available 24X7 at Shillong Jail if the government was really interested to hold talks with it.    “GNLA shall endorse whatever the outcome may be after talks take place with Champion Sangma. The press statement given by Champion on April 13 to journalist about Sohan is correct. Sohan D Shira will not hold talks without Champion Sangma,” it reiterated in the statement.
