GSU asks family to claim abandoned boy

SHILLONG: The Garo Students’ Union Khasi Hills Zone has urged the family members and relatives of one Sengchram Ch Marak (16), son of Ronald Momin from Rongjeng village in East Garo Hills, who was abandoned by his family members in NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, two weeks back, to come forward and claim the boy, who is reported to be suffering from some mental disorder.
The GSU asked the family members to come forward and claim the boy within two days failing which the Union threatened to take necessary action against the family members.
The union also expressed gratitude to the staff of NEIGRIHMS for looking after the patient.
