Norms to be followed for recruitment for Nongpoh jail

SHILLONG: Home (Jails) Minister Roshan Warjri on Tuesday asserted that the State Recruitment Policy will be followed for recruitment to various posts at Nongpoh district jail which is set to be inaugurated shortly.
Warjri said that during discussions with a delegation led by Umsning legislator Celestine Lyngdoh, it was explained that the State Recruitment Policy will be followed for recruitment based purely on the performance of the candidates as per set standards and strictly in accordance with the recruitment rules.
Earlier, a delegation from Raid Nongsohbar of Ri Bhoi district had claimed that the Home minister had asserted that local candidates would be recruited to various posts in the Nongpoh district Jail.
