TURA: The National People’s Party (NPP) is planning to lodge a complaint with the Election Commission of India against the Congress party’s high pitched slogan shouting that took place during a procession to the deputy commissioner’s office on Wednesday, a day for filing of nomination papers. The Youth Congress had taken out a procession which included shouting of slogans while passing through ( the main road beginning from Congress Bhawan, near Members’ Hostel, up to the gate of the deputy commissioner’s office when Congress candidate Dikkanchi D Shira arrived to file her nomination, a little before noon.
“We are going to bring it to the notice of the election commission of India about the violation of the model code of conduct by the Congress which indulged in slogan shouting. It happened all along the main road and outside the office of the Returning Officer,” alleged NPP leaders.
