UTP makes failed bid to escape

SHILLONG: An under trial prisoner (UTP) who was arrested on charge of molestation, made a failed bid to escape from detention on Thursday. Police said the UTP, Ajit Singh, attempted to escape while being produced at Sessions Court, Shillong. He was immediately rearrested.The matter is under investigation, police added.
