CP Joshi to meet party leaders on July 5

SHILLONG: The AICC general secretary in charge Meghalaya C P Joshi will arrive here on July 5 to meet the party leaders to find a way out following the demand for change of leadership.
Congress sources said on Tuesday that Joshi will meet the party leaders, workers and block congress presidents during his visit to understand the ground reality.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, MPCC president DD Lapang and working president Deborah Marak had separately met Joshi in Delhi. However, political situation in the state was not elaborately discussed then.   Sources added that the High Command had directed Joshi to find out the ground situation in Meghalaya as there is a demand for change of leadership following the setback to the party in Tura by poll and the victory of BJP in the neighbouring state Assam.
