SHILLONG: A 15 year old girl was allegedly raped at Marakapara in South West Garo Hills while another woman was allegedly raped at Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi.
The minor girl was allegedly assaulted and raped by one Janithson Sangma on June 30 around 7 PM who also asked her to remain silent and threatened her with dire consequences for non compliance.
In the other case, the alleged victim lodged a complaint that on July 1 at about 10 PM one unidentified person had raped her at Rajabagan village under Byrnihat, Ri-Bhoi.
