SHILLONG: IIM Shillong welcomed the fifth batch of its Post Graduate Programme for Executives – Managing Business in India and China (PGPEx-MBIC) with speakers making a plea for both India and China to learn from and collaborate with each other for combined progress of both countries and help resolve problems which confront both the countries like those of the urban slums.
The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Rohit Dwivedi, Chairperson of PGPEx -MBIC, who elaborated on the importance of PGPExecutive MBIC and its differentiation from other International business programmes. He also said that “Education needs to focus not only on business studies, but should also be sensitive towards the cultural and moral aspects of the host nations. Prof. Santosh Prusty from IIM Shillong started the inauguration ceremony with an invocation by chanting a Mantra on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, a philosophy that inculcates an understanding that the whole world is one family.
