Cherry Blossom Festival
The Divisional Forest Officer, Social Forestry Division, East Khasi Hills District has informed that Ward’s Lake will remain open to the public from 8: 30 AM to 7:30PM from November 14-17 on account of the ensuing Cherry Blossom Festival. On these four days, the lake shall be open till 7:30PM for evening walks and fine dining. Religious procession
The Sikh Sangat will hoist their religious flag, “Sri Nishan Sahib” at the new building and a religious procession will be conducted on November13 at 12 pm starting from the city gurudwara and proceeding towards G.S. Road up to Sri Guru Singh Sabha. The procession shall return along the G.S. Road via IGP point, Civil Hospital, Cantonment Gurudwara and back to city Gurudwara Sahib.
