Sawian’s book on Lum Sohpetbneng released

SHILLONG: Eminent author and journalist Sumar Sing Sawian released his book Ka Thymmei Lariti Bad Ka Khana Pateng u Lum Sohpetbneng at Shillong Press Club on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Sawian congratulated the team of experts who carried out the excavation work at U Lum Sohpetbneng. “It is through their findings that it was scientifically proven that the Khasi folklore of U Lum Sohpetbneng is actually true,” he said.
The team of experts who did the excavation work comprises Professor Desmond Kharmawphlang of the Folklore Department at NEHU, Marco Mitri, archaeologist, and H. Syiemlieh of the Geography Department at NEHU.
