Car kills infant
A hatchback driven by Nikoris Pala hit a two-year-old boy, Kamwadathrang Dkhar, at Khliehtyrshi Lumpyrdi in West Jaintia Hills around 1pm on March 10 killing the infant.
Biker killed in mishap
A 28-year-old biker died on March 13 after his two-wheeler (ML-05D-6041) was hit by a vehicle around 2pm. The deceased person has been identified as Pynskhem Gayang of Syndai village in West Jaintia Hills.
Truck helper dies
One person was injured when a truck overturned on NH-44 in East Jaintia Hills around 10pm on March 12. The injured helper of the truck, Rupan Basumatary, was admitted in CHC Khliehriat where he succumbed to his injuries.
Man hit by bike succumbs to injury
A person succumbed to his injuries that he sustained when he was hit by a motorcycle around 7.10pm on March 3 at Mawiong near MeCOFED. The deceased man has been identified as Kyrshanbor Teron and the rider was L. Makdoh.
Hatchback driver dies
The driver of a hatchback sustained injury after he rammed the car into a truck that was standing on NH-44 at Mookyndur on the night of March 11. The driver, identified as Ioophi O. Laloo (26), was later admitted in Nazareth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
2 injured in bike accident
Two persons were injured when the two-wheeler (AR-01E-6454) they were travelling on hit a divider at Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi around 5.30pm on March 12. The rider, Tony Riba, and the pillion rider were first taken to CH Nongpoh from where they were shifted to NEIGRIHMS.
Bike, car stolen
A group of miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-09A-1220), owned by Silseng M. Marak, from Akonggre in Tura on the night of March 11.
In another incident, miscreants stole a Maruti Swift D’zire (ML-05N-2625) from Star Valley Hotel in Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi on March 11. The driver’s name is Philostar Marngar
1 held for stealing cattle
One person, identified as Moris Lamin, was arrested for stealing cattle. The arrest was made based on a complaint lodged by Rimul Siangshai on March 10. Four animals worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen from Siangshai’s cowshed at Thadbamon village  in West Jaintia Hills around 1.30 am on March 10.
