SHILLONG: Along with 12 other cities of the country, the BS-IV-compliant fuel will be launched in Shillong on Saturday. While a formal launch of transition to BS IV will be done by the petroleum ministry in Bhubaneswar, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan will launch it at the M/S Polo Service Station, Demseniong through video conferencing from Odisha.
With this launch, motor fuel in the entire country will confirm to BS IV standard of emission.
