JOWAI: The demand for setting up a Government College in Khliehriat received as boost with the Synjuk ki Waheh Shnong Ri Jaintia (SRS-RJ), supporting the Jaintia Students’ Movement (JSM) on the matter.
The SWS-RJ in a statement issued here said the State Government should fulfill the demand of the JSM for setting up the Government College in the District. “Due to NGT ban, hundreds of students from East Jaintia Hills have dropped out of colleges and it is the need of hour to set up a Government College to accommodate these students,” SWS RJ said.
