N-E Culture Centre in Tura

SHILLONG: The Central Government will set up the second North East Zone Culture Centre in Tura after Dimapur in Nagaland.
The regional cultural centres are established by the Centre to preserve and promote traditional cultural heritage of India.
Additional Chief Secretary in charge Arts and Culture, P.W Ingty, recently attended a meeting in Delhi regarding the matter.
Ingty said since Shillong has many other central offices, the Centre wanted to have the North East Zone Culture Centre in Tura.
