SHILLONG: With Cabinet Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, representing Nartiang constituency, and his MLA brother Ngaitlang Dhar (Umroi) seeking re-election, they are preparing two family members to face the poll battle in 2018.
Ngaitlang said his son D. Lamare (25) is preparing to contest from Mawhati while the brother-in-law of the Minister, W. Shylla (26), desires to seek Congress ticket from Jowai, which is currently represented by Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister R.C Laloo.
Dhar had drawn flak for the move to field his brother-in-law in Jowai and the party disciplinary committee has already issued a notice to him seeking explanation.
