ICAR seminar

SHILLONG: The Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam will organise a two-day seminar on ”Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture” at ICAR, Umiam from June 23-24.
Over 200 participants from across the country will participate in the programme which will provide a platform for interactions among the traditional farmers, rural entrepreneurs, academicians, researchers and consumers to explore the possibility of entrepreneurship development in food sector.
An exhibition cum technology showcasing programme will also be organised to create awareness among the people about the nutritious food of North East India.
Nagaland and & Arunachal Pradesh Governor P B Acharya and Governor of Assam & Meghalaya Banwarilal Purohit will attend the programme on June 23.
Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Lt. Gen. Nirbhay Sharma, Governor of Mizoram along with other dignitaries will be present at the seminar on June 24.
