Cattle smuggler held

Saharanpur, Jun 22 (PTI) A cattle smuggler has been arrested and beef recovered from his possession in Ghateda village here, the police said today. Additional Superintendent of Police Prabal Pratap Singh said acting on a tip-off, Chilkana police station in-charge Sudhir Ujjwal and his team yesterday raided the village and arrested Israr. The police team also seized cow meat and equipment used for cattle slaughtering from the accused, he said. There are more than six cases of cattle smuggling pending against the accused, Israr, the ASP said. PTI
