Helper of truck shot dead

NONGSTOIN: The helper of a truck was shot dead at Mawthangniang village under Mairang police station in the wee hours of Thursday.
Source said the helper of the truck (AS 01EC2267) identified as Piyal Marak from Karbi Anglong along with the driver went to unload the timber from the forest near Mawthangniang.
However, when they were asleep, some miscreants fired at the truck resulting in the death of the helper.
