Tyres burnt at 3rd Mile
On July 8 around 1 am, unknown miscreants burned tyres at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. No untoward incident was reported and the matter is under enquiry.

Accidents
On July 8 at 1 pm, one local taxi (ML-05L-6334) driven by Manoj Kumar Medhi (32) knocked down a pedestrian, Ellen Wahlang (77) of Lower Mawprem. Victim sustained minor injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
On July 7 around 2 pm, one motorcycle (AS-01-BT-5342) ridden by Rocky Sangma (42) dashed against a local taxi (ML-05H-2801) driven by Bakstar Kharmih (51) at 5th Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, rider and a pillion rider of the motorcycle sustained injuries and were shifted to NEIGRIHMS and CH Shillong respectively.

Motorcycle, four wheeler stolen
Julfat Hussain lodged a complaint that on July 7 circa 12.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-08A-5571) from Zikzak Weekly Market in South West Garo Hills.
Rejan R Sangma lodged a complaint that on July 1 around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole his Bolero Camper vehicle (ML-09A-5219) from his garage at New Denggagre (EGH).

Articles worth over Rs 50000 stolen
Albarina Ch Momin lodged a complaint that on the night of July 5, unknown miscreants broke into her shop at Araimile Junction, Tura (WGH) and stole goods valued around Rs. 55,000.

Archery Association threatens salesmen in Tura
Pesath A Sangma of M/s A’chik Brothers Enterprise, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint that on July 5 around 9 am, one person identified himself as Lambu, made a threatening call to one of his salesmen, Chandan Ghosh, to come to the office of All Garo Archery Association at Na’kam Bazar, Tura (WGH). On reaching the office of the All Garo Archery Association, Chandan was threatened by Lambu along with his associates and demanded money from him. On the same day, around 8 pm, the accused person made phone calls to two other salesmen, Vishwanath Das and Vishnath Saha threatening them with dire consequences.

Williamnagar man duped
Mosendro Hajong of Medical Colony, Williamnagar (EGH) lodged a complaint that on June 28 circa 10.30 am, he received an anonymous phone call wherein the caller identified himself as Manager of State Bank of India (SBI) and asked him for ATM details. Later, he found that Rs. 41,000 has been debited from his account.
