NGT deadline on mining plan

SHILLONG: The National Green Tribunal has asked the Meghalaya Government to file its comprehensive application before August 10 with regards to how mining can be started in the State.
State counsel in Supreme Court, Ranjan Mukherjee said that the State Government could not file its application on Thursday and had sought two weeks from NGT to file the application. However, NGT asked the Government to file the application before August 10.
