Honda riders aim for podium in Round 3 of racing meet

Chennai: After the highest ever podium finish in the second round, Honda riders aim to repeat their performance in the third round of the National Motorcycle Racing Championship, starting here this weekend.

In the Super Sport 165cc category, promising rider S. Rajiv with international exposure in the Asia Road Racing Championship 2017 (ARRC) is at the first spot in the championship till now, while teammates Mathana Kumar (second) and Hari Krishnan are among others completing the Honda representation.

Adding to Honda’s domination in the Pro stock 165cc category, the trio of Mithun Kumar (first), Anish Shetty (second) and B. Aravind (third) is all set to further their points margin this weekend along with Soorya.

In the One-make Championship, which is a different race, Honda riders Amala Jerald and Vyshakh Sobhan are leading the pack in the CBR 150R novice reace category.

In the all ladies race, eight riders complete the grid with Ryhana Bee, N. Shruthi and Kalyani Potekar leading the points tally till now.  (IANS)
