Guwahati: Old Boys Association of Sainik School Goalpara (OBA SSG) in association with Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) had organised a blood donation camp on the occasion of Independence Day on 15thAugust in Guwahati.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr A C Katoky, Director of BBCI and he has praised OBA SSG for conducting blood donation camp for more than a decade on Independence Day. An appreciation letter and memento has been provided to OBA SSG from BBCI. 52 units of blood were collected from donors on the day.
OBA SSG has been organising blood donation camp on Independence Day for more than a decade now and similar blood donation was organised at the blood bank of Jorhat Medical College by OBA SSG on the same day where 22 units of blood were donated .
In a press statement OBA SSG has thanked all the donors and appealed other individual to donate blood and save lives when ever needed. OBA SSG is a society of the ex student of prestigious SSG which has branches and units in different parts of India and most of the unit organises blood donation camp at least once in a year.
