Vendor’s death: Driver arrested

SHILLONG: The driver, of Tuesday’s incident, where the woman vendor was killed, is arrested.
When contacted, SP (Traffic) Nangkiew Syiem informed that the driver was not drunk and there was no brake failure and the vehicle has been sent for Mechanical Breakdown check.
The driver identified as Santosh Biswas has been sent for medical examination.
The condition of the son of the deceased, Imtiaz Ali is stable now, the SP said.
