Miscreants break into CHC
Dr. B. Syiemlieh, Medical and Health Officer, CHC, Bhoirymbong, Ri Bhoi, lodged a complaint that on the night of October 12, miscreants damaged the door of Umroi Sub-Centre (under CHC, Bhoirymbong) and broke open the donation box and almirah of the Sub-Centre.

Anu Toyerdur Sheikh lodged a complaint that on September 17, Shiddik Ali (driver) along with Abu Kalam (labourer) produced a work order and indent slip of village Mangdugre VEC and took materials amounting to Rs. 32,259 from his shop at Chibinang in West Garo Hills. On September 18, 19 and 23, Ali along with Hasmot Sheikh (labourer) took materials amounting to Rs. 38,100 and Rs. 39,771 and Rs. 32,810, respectively. Later, when the documents were compiled at Dadenggre C&RD Block office, it transpired that the documents were forged.

One arrested for Illegal coal mining
On October 12 at around 11 am, during mining raids in Moolamanoh area in East Jaintia Hills, police arrested Jagadish Das (22), while he was extracting coal in violation of the NGT order. Other labourers managed to flee.
