SPG carries out spot inspection

SHILLONG: The members of the Special Protection Group (SPG) who arrived on Tuesday evening carried out the inspection of the Polo Grounds on Wednesday ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit scheduled for Saturday.
The SPG team also met DGP SB Singh and assessed the security scenario.
According to police, the Prime Minister will arrive from Mizoram at 1 pm and he will be present for the government function of inaugurating the Shillong-Tura road at State Convention Centre.
Later, he will address the public rally at Polo Grounds before he leaves for Delhi.
