Special kids’ parents meet held

TURA: A two-day regional parents’ meet was inaugurated on Sunday at SMELC Conference Hall, Dakopgre, Tura.
The meet focused on the interest of Persons with Intellectual Development Disabilities and their parents.
Speaking on the occasion, former DoNER secretary Uttam Sangma informed about the Disability Act and the 3 per cent reservation policy of the government for persons with disabilities. He said 40 per cent disabled are eligible to obtain this certificate. The programme was hosted by Mothers Union.
