Three injured in separate mishaps

SHILLONG: Two people died while several sustained injuries in a spate of road accidents across the State in the last couple of days.
On December around 6.15 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05K-2658) dashed against a truck (ML-06-9205) that was parked on Shillong bypass road in Ri Bhoi. As a result, the motorcycle rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital before the arrival of police.
On December 22 around 6.45 pm, one Chevrolet car driven by Hemantam Nonglamin fell into a gorge at Khliehtyrshi in West Jaintia Hills. As a result, the driver and occupants of the car sustained minor injuries and were shifted to a hospital in Jowai.
