Unclaimed body
On March 4, a female body age 40-45 years was brought to Civil Hospital Shillong from Laitumkhrah by 108 ambulance for treatment but the next day she expired. Accordingly inquest and other legal formalities have been obseved and the same was sent to SDM&HO Civil Hospital for conducting post mortem.The body is kept at Civil Hospital morgue for identification and claiming. Flour released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills has informed the public consumers that wholemeal atta (Tide Over) for the month of January and February for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families, Priority Households (PHH) and Non-NFSA in urban and rural areas has been released and will be distributed through the fair price shops. The distribution will be at the scale of 20 kgs per card at Rs. 8 per kg. Any non-supply or overcharging of the rate by the suppliers may be brought to the notice of the DC.

Anniversary
The 44th anniversary of BK Bajoria School will be celebrated on Saturday, together with the release of ‘Efflorescence’, the magazine of the college. Mukesh Kumar Singh, IPS, DIG, CID will be the chief guest of the function which will begin at 11 am at the school auditorium.
