8 injured in separate mishaps
On March 26 around 10 pm, an accident took place between one Maruti car (ML-05F-4124) driven by Kyrshanborlang Blah (35) and a local taxi (ML-05J-6529) driven by Banribor Kharbuki (26). As a result, the driver of the local taxi and one female occupant sustained injuries and were admitted at CH Shillong.
On March 25 around 2 pm, one auto-rickshaw (AS-07EC-0434) driven by Habibor Rahman turned turtle at Dangkong Reserve, North Garo Hills and in the meantime one motorcycle (AS-01AF-0780) ridden by Dante B Sangma lost control and dashed against the said auto-rickshaw. As a result, one occupant of the auto-rickshaw and a pillion rider of the bike sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC Dainadubi /CH Goalpara, Assam.
One Tata Winger vehicle (ML-08D-3403) met with an accident at Digranggre village (WGH) on March 19. As a result, four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC Asanang / CH Tura.
Man stabbed
On March 24 around 10.30 pm, Helion Pariong stabbed Kharius Lyngdoh with a knife at Mawkhan, Wahkhrang village in West Khasi Hills. As a result, the victim sustained and was shifted to CH Shillong. The accused is absconding.
Two houses robbed, motorcycle stolen
On March 26 evening, miscreants broke into the house of Lalita Thapa at RR Colony, Rynjah and stole gold ornaments valued around Rs. 2,50,000.
Baldhora Sangma lodged a complaint that on March 25 around 7 pm, his motorcycle (ML-14-0531) was found missing from Hawakhana, Tura in West Garo Hills (WGH).
Anukul Paul of Phulbari (WGH) lodged a complaint that on March 18, miscreants broke into his house and stole gold ornaments, cash, coins amounting to Rs. 20,000, a mobile phone, music systems, etc.
Woman assaulted, threatened in JH
Krity Lapasam lodged a complaint that on March 23 around 11 pm, three persons namely Olnes Shylla, Kel Rymbai and Soomiki Shylla all from Byndihati village, came to her residence at Umtyra village (East Jaintia Hills) and assaulted her and threatened her with dire consequences.
Youth thrashed in NGH
Pijonal Ch Sangma lodged a complaint that on March 22 around 11 pm, his son Bithan R Sangma went to drop his girlfriend at her residence at Chisimari village, North Garo Hills, however, Jingjang N Sangma, elder brother of his girlfriend assaulted him. As a result, he sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to GNRC in Guwahati.
Domestic violence
Happines Dkhar of Jalaphet Brisutnga village, East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on March 14 around 3 pm, her husband Rock Chyrmang assaulted her.
