CRPF says sorry for attack on scribe

SHILLONG: The CRPF on Sunday said sorry for the attack on a scribe, who was covering the fire incident at Bara Bazar.
Initially, the CRPF prevented the scribe from performing his duty by saying that he should not interfere.
When the scribe told them that he was only performing his duty, a CRPF man pulled his shirt and threw his mobile phone.
Later, the matter was made known to the SP, DGP and CRPF functionaries.
The CRPF IG sent the commandant to douse the situation and the latter profusely apologised to the scribe.
