Review meeting on flagship programmes held

SHILLONG: A meeting on periodical review was held by Cabinet Ministers on various flagship programmes in East Khasi Hills district. The meeting was held at the conference room of the DC under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Friday.
The flagship programmes subject to the review were MGNREGA, PMAY, NSAP, SSA, Mid Day Meal, ICDS, NHM, NRDWP, TSC/Swachh Bharat Mission, PMGSY, AIBP/PMKSY and RKVY.
Tynsong informed all the officers present that the review meeting is an initiative of the present government and such review meetings will be conducted every three months.
He also informed that the review meetings will enable the government to recognise the various problems, obstacles and constraints faced by various departments in implementing the various developmental flagship programmes at the grassroot level and to welcome views and suggestions on improving the delivery of developmental schemes to the people.
Tynsong also requested all district officers to be dedicated, honest and sincere in delivering the various programmes to the people.
