Assault
Md. Jahirul, Islam lodged a complaint stating that on July 2 around 1:00 pm, two unidentified miscreants in a local taxi intercepted his Tata Mobile vehicle (AS-02BC-2956) at Kongong village in East Jaintia Hills, assaulted him and his assistant driver Matiur Rahman and fled with Rs. 19,000 cash.
Fire
On July 2, a fire broke out in the house of Jubin Makri at Rongkisong village in Ri Bhoi, reportedly, due to an electric short circuit. Loss of property was estimated to be around Rs 1,50,000. However, no casualties were reported.
Theft
On July 2, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the quarter of Tipmon War at the Fire & Emergency Service Complex in Laitumkhrah and stole gold earrings valued at Rs 25,000.
On June 26, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the house of Jagdish Prasad in Laban and stole one TV set, clothes and utensils.
Vandalism
On July 1 around 11:30 pm, unknown miscreant(s) damaged the IT Box of a CCTV pole in Jaiaw.
