Four arrested for petrol bomb attack on MPSC office

SHILLONG: Shillong Police have picked up four people including two main persons who were involved in hurling a petrol bomb in the office of the  Meghalaya  Public Service Commission (MPSC) here recently.

Talking to media persons here on Monday, East Khasi Hills SP, Davis Marak said that  along with the two main persons who lobbed the bomb, another person who was abetting them and was waiting for them in  Maruti van had also been arrested.

In addition, one person who paid money to three people to commit the crime has also been arrested

The two main persons who committed the crime had revealed before police  that they were paid Rs  40000  to lobe the petrol bomb and police are looking for the person who paid the money to them.

All the arrested persons were produced in the Court on Monday and they were remanded to  10 days of police custody.

The police who refused the revealed the identity of the arrested persons said that the arrested persons are teenagers.

It was on July 10 when miscreants lobbed a petrol bomb at the office of the  Secretary of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) located in Lachumiere .
