Training programme
The Peterson Projects and Solutions, Mumbai, in collaboration with the MEG ICS Organic Tea Project implemented by the Directorate of Horticulture, Meghalaya, Shillong will conduct a three-day certificate course training programme on organic farming with special focus on maintaining an Internal Control System in a Group Organic Certification from August 9 to 11. Kala Utsav
The Directorate of School Education & Literacy and State Education Mission Authority (Samagra Shiksha Abiyan) will organise Kala Utsav Competition (District, State and National level) on music, dance, theatre and visual art as an initiative to promote Art and Culture in educational institution and showcasing talent of the school students. Rainfall warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning where-by heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya from July 25 to 28.

Foundation day
Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association, Upper Shillong had organised its 1st Foundation Day on July 22 in the school’s auditorium. The Alumni association felicitated some of the past pupils who joined the school including the first student, Gopal Thapa of Lawsohtun and several other people.
