SHILLONG: Shopkeepers of Khlieh Iewduh had cut the iron rods which were erected by Hima Mylliem Myntri G. Nongdhar.
The shopkeepers alleged that the myntri erected those rods without their consent.
With regard to this, the vendors on Wednesday met the Executive Member, Elaka, James Sylliang to seek his intervention in the matter.
One of the shop owners, Bilda Marwein claimed that the iron rods were erected at night in which eight iron rods were already assembled.
“The work started two weeks back and it is the work of a Myntri of Hima Mylliem, G. Nongdhar who intends to construct a building there,” she said.
Marwein said there are over 30 shops in the areas and the construction of a building at the site will affect their livelihood.
